Jamie really enjoyed his time at the academy and got the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the top entrepreneurs and business people from across the UK. When graduating, Jamie decided that he wanted to provide other young people with the opportunity that he had been given and so decided to write a mentoring course for teenagers. This was really successful and in the space of a year, Jamie had worked with and enhanced the careers, grades and lives of 800 young people. Following on from this, Jamie was approached to share his story with young people via the form of speaking. After doing a few speeches, he quickly realized that he had a talent for public speaking and so he went about sharing his message and passing on his advice to others about how they could be successful as a teenager.

Jamie is now the Managing Director of the company, Made By Young People which delivers informal enterprise workshops in education, one of which engages the young people and challenges them to design and produce a clothing garment, which they will then sell and keep the profit during the same one day workshop.

On the back of this, Made By Young People also offers a professional printing service that offers goods such as, T-shirts, Hoodies, Banners, Flyers and various other products.

Now aged 20, Jamie has spoken at over 250 events across 10 countries, been featured in National Press, won an award for Youth Excellence and he engages with 30,000 young people a year through his work.

Jamie’s passion is in providing opportunities for young people, he believes that teenagers should be challenged to do something enterprising as it teaches many transferrable skills that can be used in every aspect of life, work and personal development.
